My exercise journal - keeping this blog updated helps me to stay motivated and achieve my goal of becoming a more active bird. Perhaps!

I'm not ill yet.....
Which is good because the halo isn't so pristine ref exercise! Cycled to work on Thursday & Friday - my hands were at painful level of frozen on Friday evening! No exercise at all yesterday - but did at least get a little DIY done and sorted out some running group stuff.
Wasn't feeling remotely like exercise today but went to Body Attack at Esporta - the fabulous Body Combat instructor Sassy's other class. She wasn't her normal tigger like self as she was getting over a migraine and hadn't been able to get any cover. Fair play to her for still coming in - and managing to lead the class. She kept her shades on & had to resort to demo-ing the move then talking us through the routine. But it was still a good workout - it's simple choreography but with a really high energy to it. Love the running bit the most - but cornering in a sports hall is a bit tight!
Dragged Husband into the fresh air as I wanted to pull up some leeks. Glad we went as pigeons have decimated the PSB - so we were able to get some netting over to try & mitigate further damage. Pulling the leeks was trickier than expected - although it's milder today, the ground is well & truly frozen & extracting veg from soil was a challenge!
Just done some sums and if all who have expressed an intention to do so come along tomorrow night, I'll be kicking off Eastleigh Women's Running Network with 10 women - 6 beginners, 4 regular runners - that is a big "if" though! Roll on Monday....

Remiss Blogger - I blame crochet
So, my doings:
- Gym last Tue and Fri
- Body Combat on both Wednesdays
- Cycled to work every day except last Thursday (team awayday off site)
- Bowling! Linked to the team awayday.
- Body Attack on Sunday
Body Attack was entertaining - I've done the class a couple of times at Romsey, but never at Esporta. Our Body Combat instructor takes it & was pushing it at the class on Wed - so when Husband declared himself unwell (chest thing), I took the opportunity to go on Sunday morning. And it was fab! Only 4 of us - not great for Sassy, but it meant loads of space for us which I appreciated on the running track. Choreography is reasonably strightforward - but more to follow than with Combat (or maybe it's just that I'm less used to it!). Pleased that I remembered the moves - incuding Superman. Kicking is more Moulin Rouge than Bruce Lee - and it felt weird not hearing Sassy yelling "It's not aerobics!".
Clocks changed on Sunday, so I'm cycling home in the proper dark now. And it's cold! Feeling it in my thighs especially and I'm tempted to look into some longjohns - v.sexy.... My new light is fab - proper beam and I like not having to worry about batteries as it's rechargeable.

Moshing with Bunny Ears
The only other tenuous claim I can make for exercise was dancing for a couple of hours - where I tried dancing wearing bunny ears & tail for the first time. Really enjoyed the evening - although it ended lardily with late night pizza. C looked stunning in a red dress - in fact, we all looked gorgeous!
The last proper exercise was on Friday - Body Attack as planned with S. I'm getting the choreography a bit more now! As with Saturday, benefits were negated later that evening as Husband brought in fish & chips followng his gym session - and very nice they were too.
I'm planning on doing nothing else this evening bar makng rhubarb crumble with the first crop from the allotment.

Body Attack
About 45 mins of walking on Wed as my car required servicing & the garage is at the halfway point on my commute. Cycled to work on Thursday.
